Ive been biting my tongue about the Mike Brown Tragedy.Keep in mind Im in no way a racist or pro white. I see faults on both sides. Also know that this is not a fact but a personal opinion based off of what I see.u Heres my view: Anytime someone dies its a tragedy. No one deserves to die. No sin is greater than the other therefore there should be no scale brought up on whether or not he deserved to die. White or black it doesnt make it right to kill first and ask questions later. I pray for ferguson and for the Brown family. Lets be honest though, this has become more than just about Mike Browns death. Its now become a race issue. Racism in any form is wrong. So I present these questions to both parties with an open mind and heart. Dont respond right away to it but sit on it for a minute. If the incident was reversed and it was black cop and and a white teen would we see the same reaction? Would we see the same awareness? What would you have done if you were a panicking cop? Would you be thinking straight? Would you shoot if you felt your life was threatened? What would have happened if he didnt shoot? When is it justified to decide to shoot or risk harm? Had Mike Brown killed the officer would we be making the same efforts for the officer? Did the riots have to happen? Why arent other issues getting this much attention? Why do we assume that black people are the only ones who have fallen on hard times? Are we jumping to conclusions too soon? Is racism still present because of one race or is it all parties causing it? Honestly, we all judge a book by its cover at times. Sometimes thats good but most times its unfair. Instead of putting the race card on it, lets look at it how God would. He doesnt recognize color, we are all equal. One man was killed. One soul may have been lost. And as Christians what are we doing? Debating on Facebook and twitter on an incident that cant be fixed. Lets work on one that can be. Lets work on walking in love no matter what the color, age, gender,or any other category a person may be. We may not be able to revive Mike Brown, but we can do our part to try to protect a kid in the same situation.
