Ive been dreading writing this post all week, mostly because it doesnt feel real and I would rather pretend it didnt happen, but today, on the day of his funeral, hopefully Austin Troutts family and friends can start the acceptance and healing processes. Austin and I went to church and school together for a long time. I havent talked to him in a couple of months, and instead of feeling bad for the times we didnt talk, Im trying to remember the times we did talk and hang out - both the good times, like when we went to see Linkin Park and when I walked with him when he competed for Big Man On Campus, and the bad times, like when he made me watch High School Musical. I would love it if someone going to the candlelight service tonight could share this video of me, Sara Nasab and him, just because this is how Ill (and a lot of others) will always want to remember him. Thanks for the memories.
