Ive been driving around listening to my new CD over and over. I need to send a shout-out to the amazing people who helped me make these 6 songs come alive. First of all, producer Jason Garner is so incredible to work with. He gets my music and always makes me feel comfortable in the studio. Not an easy thing when Im doing vocals, due to my own insecurities!! He also brings in awesome players to help us get the songs down. And he plays lots of the parts on the songs...bass, some percussion, some keys, whatever his ear finds that the song needs! Thank you Jason for caring, for steering my project, knowing when to say yes and when to say no! :) Jason Roller played guitars on 4 of the songs, mandolin on 2, and is just so excellent at what he does. He was able to capture a different sound on each song and understand how I wanted each of them to feel. Chris Graffagnino played guitars on 2 songs and was so professional and passionate about his work, taking a real interest in how the songs sounded. These 2 guitarists had a huge impact on making these tunes shine! Todd London was the percussionist on 4 of the songs. He brought so many toys to the studio; it was fun to watch him build the percussion tracks, add layers and bring ideas. I cant even name everything he pulled out of his suitcases of instruments. So cool!!! Tania Hancheroff, is my go-to-girl for demos, or for background vocals on things that I sing! She sang BGVs on 4 of these tracks. Her voice is amazing - she just fits into and perfectly blends with whatever Im doing and finds the parts that bring it all together, AND she has cool ideas. Im in awe - always - by the time she is done. I think she sang on Sheryl Crows latest project, so you can see why I feel lucky to get to work with her on occasion. Dakota Jay my co-writer on the song Restless Heart. I love writing with Dakota and am so glad he wrote this one with me! He also put his voice on here for me, singing harmonies on this song. I love how it turned out. Thank you so much, each one of you, for bringing your time and talents to my 6-song project!! Just wanted to let you know you made a difference.
