Ive been getting asked for a few people about the latest police - TopicsExpress

Ive been getting asked for a few people about the latest police abuse videos Ive been posting and whats got me so worked up. Here is why this particular issue is bothering me. When I was in high school, I wanted to be a police officer. I was even voted in my senior year high school yearbook as Most Likely To Be a Police Officer. I was in the explorer program working at my local county sheriffs department doing ride alongs and even working the jail. For the four years I was there, I learned from the inside the hardships that police deal with every day and from that learned a respect to the body of law and the brave men and women that put their lives on the line every time they go to work to protect their communities from some really evil people and help those that need help. But lately, its like every time I turn around I see videos and complete abuses of powers by both officers and their departments to the point its actually making me psychically sick. Cops that abuse the law and twist it to a perversity to be able to justify acting as worse as the criminals they arrest is a huge disrespect to those officers that are truly there because they want to make a difference and help protect and serve. Ive known a ton of great police officers to this day, I still have the ultimate respect for and I would take a bullet for without hesitation if their lives were in danger. But when other douche bag officers abuse their powers, violate civil libraries and get off on what ever power trip they are getting out of being a complete douche, is a total dishonor to all officers that are currently working, fallen in the line, and have retired that services their communities with honor. If your department is found employing a officer that is caught on tape violating an individuals civil rights, beating, killing or any other crime that if a civilian had done would result in jail time or fines, then that officer should be FIRED and held to the SAME STANDARD. No more internal reviews or private disciplinary actions that we all know is nothing. Im tired of seeing tax payer money being used again and again to be used to settle a court case because of some officers REPEATED use of unlawful detainments, arrest, search and seizures, and more importantly loss of life! Police forces are starting to be more and more in the news because I think america is finally realizing that civil liberties are being loss every day because of the crap excuse of potential terrorism. If you think Im over reacting, do this simple experiment. Take a photo camera and go stand out on a public sidewalk and simply take a photo of a police officers on duty during a traffic stop (at least 20 feet away where your not in interference of their duties), buildings in a downtown area, and/or any government building, which are all legal acts and protected by 1st amendment rights, and see how long it takes for a police officer to show up and ask to see you ID saying that your doing some suspicious. Its getting to the point that anything we do today, especially if your photo or videoing something, from the police perspective is suspicious now. And for my friends that are of ethnic decent seem to just simply have to walk down a street to enlist a suspicious activity. Watch this video attached and understand. Bottom line, its time for everyone to start examining, paying attention to and recording all interactions with the police. Some police unions are even refusing to wear body cams because they are making a weak ass argument that it puts the officers safety in danger. If they mean the safety of a paycheck, then yes. Its putting them in danger of losing their job for abusing the public and their oath to protect and serve. Maybe we can start to weed out these ass hat cops and make room for those that want to honor their oath, community and badge. https://youtube/watch?v=7rWtDMPaRD8
