Ive been given a number by the diabolical Becky Burns Christopher. And it is 12?? Not sure what to do, but Ill try? I guess its 12 things you didnt know about me? 1) I was the eternal nerd/yet athlete in High School, at least thats the way I perceived it. I truly hated high school. 2) I, for my first job, worked at McDonalds for two years, starting when I was 14--the graveyard shift, and the early morning shift. I ate a lot of fast food. 2) I took the money I earned from McDonalds (and my two other jobs) and designed my own Senior Prom dress and had it sewn by the mother of one of my high school friends. I also paid for college this way. 3) I joined the Army after college, and was named Soldier of the Post. When I first arrived, they laughed like I was a Private Benjamin. I had three suitcases and my hair in a bow 4) The only person that saved me from being beaten to a pulp every night in Basic Training was the father of my Angels, because he was doing his ROTC training and was the XO of our unit. 5) Ive had tea with the President of Panama 6) All of my clothing comes from a thrift store, with very few exceptions. 7) My uncle taught reading in Alaska for many years, in Nome and Fairbanks. We all thought he was crazy, but I cannot imagine living anywhere but Alaska now. 8) I hate spicy food. 9) I skipped a grade in school. 10) I believe that giving back to your community is something that should be a requirement. 11) Any man that feels that I should abandon my goals for him, is barking up the wrong tree. 12) Lastly, I hope that my Angels know that its essential to be kind, give back, volunteer, be humble, and know that they are strong women. Is that 12? I dont know how this works, but those are my thoughts.
