Ive been thinking about my daughters speech last night at graduation. Although I gave her ideas, she took only little from it and then wrote it herself. She spoke of friends, experiences, fond memories and learnings. She thanked me for my pushing her to be her best, her dad for making her speech longer just by mentioning him, her bus driver Vanessa who brought a smile to her face every day and her teachers for their time. She articulated best her sense of respect and belonging to our small community Myponga. This is what made me proud. So young but so wise and well equipped to take on the next step of her journey....
