Ive been up early for a few hours enjoying the holy sabbath day - TopicsExpress

Ive been up early for a few hours enjoying the holy sabbath day dedicating myself to learning about Yahweh Most High God. Since the beginning of the sabbath (yesterday at sunset) I started to read the book of Job and finished it today. A few things came to mind and I posted some things that touched me. My wife Jackie Floyd and I managed to jump topics from the book of Genesis to the book of Ephesians. The topic we discussed and giving deeper thought is the misunderstood opinionated phrase of being saved by grace through faith also the new covenant Ephesians 2:8 KJV For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: So what does this verse mean? I personally like the KJV bible because of the concordance in the back that may help you define a word or phrase by reading other verses outlined in the bible that the word or phrase is used. The best concordance that Ive seen is the Strongs Concordance which gives both the Hewbrew and Greek definition of a word or phrase. Since the bibles original language is one of the two depending on the book in the bible that you read. If you like me also like to read the bible or concordance anywhere there are apps on both the android and apple market(trust me i have both phone types). For the bible and concordance I use on both phones are Bible and Connect Bible Ill post pictures of both. Back to Ephesians 2:8, How would you clearly understand this verse especially if your using the KJV bible and what does this have to do with the new covenant? In the old testiment Gods people made a covenant with Him and the agreement(covenant) had terms and conditions. For example Gods people have to keep His commandments and statutes and if by sinning they broke the law they were to be put to death. The only way to get Gods forgiveness was to give offerings to God for your sins e.g. sacrificing a Lamb blemish free. During that time before Christ that was the only way to get salvation i.e. the old covenant. In the new testiment people who proclaim to be Gods people still live by the commandments and statutes given to us by God. Sinning is still a problem. So now when we sin how are we to get our salvation and be forgiven of our sins? Repent them because through grace (the favour) by faith meaning since Jesus Christ died on calvary He was the ulimate sacrifice to God for all the sins of man...thats why Jesus is called the Lamb of God. Also Jesus is a gift of God to instead of having death because of sin we now have life because of Jesus Christ so we repent (also no longer wanting to sin) and is forgiven in Jesus name i.e. the new covenant. The old testiment isnt a history class in the bible, bondage, or any less significant than the new testiment. In fact the new testiment constantly quotes the old testiment because thats all the people of God had during their time. The commandments and statutes of God are still as important as the day they were when given. All of them not the ones we selectively choose. So by the favour of Jesus Christ, the gift of God, are we saved through faith by understanding what Christ did for us on calvary, accepting it and living like Christ holy and righteous as best we can wanting to sin no more. It helps to have a concordance to help you understand the way in which the word or phrase is being used in the verse. Keep God’s commandments and statutes as best you can. When you fall repent. Dont be too proud to do so, be too afraid to ask for forgiveness, and help your neighbors (family friends and enemies) when you see them stumbling as best you can. Praise Glorify God the Father for everything He does for you including His perfect gifts and Praise Glorify Jesus Christ the son for everything He did for you past present and future. WORTHY IS THE LAMB!!! HAPPY SABBATH AND PEACE TO US ALL!!!! GOD BLESS US!!!!
