Ive been working in my kitchen this morning, using some of my favorite tools. Cant help but think about the advancement for such things over the last few decades. I use my KitchenAid at least once ever week. It sits on this handy pop-up shelf that my brother included when he designed my house. I release it when Im finished and tuck it back in the cabinet and close the door. He knew what I needed before I did. Donald bought my first KitchenAid mixer 34 years ago and my mom now uses that same mixer. Still works perfectly, Ive only replaced the whip and bowl once in that time. I wish all tools lasted that long with that much use. I keep lots of Pyrex glass measuring cups and use them for all my liquid measuring. I like good, heavy, stainless measuring cups for dry measuring. This one is a 2 cup measure and comes in handy for big jobs like I have today. A measuring spoon thats heavy makes it easy to scoop down into baking soda boxes and such. These are my favorites, Ive had them several years. The spatula is heavy, has a long handle, and gets used lots. Still looks like brand new. When I make bread or cinnamon rolls, I prefer this flour. One of my favorite finds is Crisco spray. Unlike Pam, there is no aggravating plastic lid to pry off. This nozzle works good and has no lid to mess with. The wrapper this butter is in may be my all time favorite deal. Its waxy but never greasy. I use a lot of butter and leave it out of the fridge to soften but hate the paper other butter is wrapped in. This never has that icky feel to it. Im no expert and dont ever want to sound like a know it all, believe me, Im far from it. Just some of my favorites, every one of us has favorites, right?
