Ive had a lot of people close to me in my life say theyll do one thing and just...not. As a kid, I held a grudge for years because a relative promised me a trip to my favorite mall and then randomly to me, the mall was torn down. Maybe its petty but you really dont forget how people treat you, especially the ones you choose to be in your life. I had grown so used to this that I stayed in a three year relationship with someone who constantly stood me up. I never felt so worthless. To this day, I have a friend that my other friends are sure Im just making up. Its silly, really. I guess Im writing this because somewhere down the road I feel I started doing this to my close ones and they, in return, do it to me. So in a plea for help to become a better person, if I make plans with you hold me accountable because Im sure as hell am not going through thirty more years of hoping you show.
