Ive had this song stuck in my head for about a week, but Im not complaining. Frente! was one of my favorite early 90s Alternative bands. I first saw them live at Bauhaus Coffee and Books on Capitol Hill. It was a free acoustic show with just Angie singing and Simon playing guitar. Theyd expected maybe a hundred people to show as it was a weekday early afternoon, it was more like a thousand. The line wrapped clear around the block for a venue that held about 50 people, all standing. lol Fortunately I was near the front. :) Maybe a month later they did a free show in a park downtown that was really cool. I saw them every time they played here, probably a dozen shows? I BSd with Angie and Simon on several occasions and they were really cool people. Simon loved my 510 and went on and on about how cool it was. :) This video reminds me very much of who they really were: wacky, often goofy people screwing around, having fun, and enjoying life. For me this song is a great pick-me-up. Not only because of the infectiously happy, bouncy tune, but because it reminds me of Angie and Simon and a time in my life when pretty much everything I did was fun.
