Ive just heard that Bernard Khoo, the blogger nicknamed Zorro, has just died after undergoing bladder surgery. My sincere condolences to his family. And my respect for a man who, as blogger and activist, did a lot to create awareness among Malaysians in his struggle for change and a better Malaysia. We have lost yet another Malaysian who mattered, like Irene Fernandez. I met Bernard a few times and found him a jolly fellow with his heart in the right place and his politics in the right spirit. I hope he will rest in peace after his long bout of illness that culminated in the ill-fated surgery. Farewell, my dear Malaysian patriot.
