Ive just recently rediscovered my love for guitar. Ive got a few of johns songs down pat, bit having problems with a lot of them. Questions for the guitar players among us: 1) if I just learn the basic patterns of travis picking for 4, 5, and 6 string chords / shapes, will I be able to play all or most of JPs stuff? 2) has anyone put together tabs for all of JPs songs, aside from whats available on jpshrine and ultimateguitar? 3) all the videos I see of john playing dont look like hes moving his left hand around much. He must be hammering and pulling off of chord shapes with the non-base note fingers a bunch. This isnt a question as much as an observation. 4) do you play with one, two, or three fingers on your right hand? 5) lets just make this the general discussion thread for all guitar related talk.
