Ive never regretted buying high quality stock hardware... ive regretted buying no name, cut rate, knock off stock hardware more than once. High quality stock hardware is made to be TOUGH, because its a component that can experience a fair amount of blunt force from normal operation, as well as malfunction clearance drills. Given that the panic of 2012 is now over, im buying up stock hardware components of known quality from some of the most reputable contractor manufacture by the caseload. When another panic invariably hits, I wont have to settle for Turkish, Korean, and Chinese made buffer tubes made using pot metal to milspec dimensions and then sold to an unsuspecting public as Milspec buffer tubes. From snapping, breaking, or bending from use, junk buffer tubes will ruin your day. Hell, junk buffers with loose roll pins that bind up the spring will ruin your day too. Buy quality, buy once and stop worrying about it. PS: Given that some companies were even selling BOLTS made out of wildly inappropriate (and dangerous) 4140 steel in this last panic are you really that surprised that some companies were screwing over the gun buying public with JUNK parts that only looked good?
