Ive not slept fully since Thursday the joys of beimg a promoter the mind on over drive To take stock WKA English Open was an outstanding success Clubs from around the country came and did them selves proud and competed at the highest level All decision and reffing were fair no biased or cheating of any sort through out the day There was however an admin error which we worked extensively to put right With the volume of entries this was an unbelievable hard and very strenuous task to which I cant thank my team and not to forget the volunteers who stepped in to help out, cant thank them enough This should have been where I was to clear up the issues but as the people involved were doing a great job I got involved with keeping areas moving to avoid an even longer day Our next event is already booked for 1st February 2015 which will be Northern Open THIS EVENT IS NOT CONFIRMED AS A WKA EVENT YET! I can only confirm which sanctioning body it will be at the end of November I can however arrange a WKA Officials course which shall be FREE! and will cover Ring Sports refs, judges time keepers Matt sports refs, judges time keepers Event stewards and officials training If you would like to be a part of Dragonfoot Promotions and WKA events watch this space for details The only cost will be for purchase of: WKA Shirt & tie £30 for both WKA Officials Tshirt £15 Cost of training course and qualification FREE!!! The events we are puttining on are now massive, to which our team needs to grow! This offer is open to all I have seen over the years where officials are not paid as THE GREEDY promoters have nothing left in the tin This can happen but will not and has never not happened in my last 10 years of promoting Professiinal and Amateur events I cant run these events without officials so all get paid regardless of whether or not anything left in the tin Myself, Dragonfoot Promotions and WKA have learnt a valuable lesson and will continue to move forwards All officials yesterday did an amazing job the only problem was we needed more officials We new the event would be big, just how big no one could predict as on the door entries were huge Some love online Some love pre reg Some love on the day entry We can cater for all and will do my entry and registration team made an error, they over came this but do require support and guidance from me which they will recieve We will have more officials We will improve on our weaknesses and we will ensure everyone gets their monies worth and has an experience to remember Lets not forget its 9-1 in favour of the positives to any negative Thank you to all once again xxx
