Ive noticed young mothers, ranging from teen moms to mid-to-late - TopicsExpress

Ive noticed young mothers, ranging from teen moms to mid-to-late 20s often use the fact that they had children as an excuse. You did not drop out of high school because you had a baby. Excuse. I cant get a job because I dont have a babysitter. Excuse. They same government that gives you that check for sitting at home offers childcare assistance. I cant return to school because Im pregnant/have a new baby/have kids at home. Excuse. You cant get a job, you cant go to school, but you can hang-out, go club, all this pointless stuff that gets you OR YOUR KIDS nowhere in life! I LOATHE people who do NOTHING with life but have fun on someone elses dime. Hi, my name is TaiShay. I had my first child in high school, completed it. Have been working steadily since I was 15. Just completed an entire RN program while pregnant with 4 kids at home, & had the baby before school was over. Still finished. Still had excellent grades. Still worked. It was a STRUGGLE, but when you have kids at a young age, it is an uphill battle, but it is also a decision YOU MADE!So PLEASE dont come around making up these lame ass excuses, blaming stuff on the kids you made the choice to have. Its YOU! I am not better than anyone by-far. Food stamps, TANF, Medicare, I am no stranger to none of that. But those are to be used in a time of need to make things better. I used them for what they were for. And as soon as I take this NCLEX, Ill never have to worry about them again. This was just on my heart/mind cause Im tired of my young mothers getting a bad rap. Luckily most of the young mothers I know have drive, motivation & are getting it done & been getting it done done we were younger. Salute ladies! #JustARant #PleaseNoOneTakeItPersonal #ButIfYouDoMaybeYouNeedToLookAtYourselfNotMe #NowBackToStudyingForThis #NCLEX cause I need money to move out the hood so my babies can go to school with #TheWhites #LPNtoRN #LPNtoRN #iDidThat
