Ive recently been accused of Hanging on to Keith Whitleys coat tails.For popularity or some other reason,,I say to you,kiss my ass,you dont know anything about me.Im proud of everyday I was with Keith and have never bragged or made comments in that direction.I rarely even tell anyone about my past to gain friends or put me on a pedestal..I do relish the friends I have that really know me regardless of what Ive done.Ive had a rich blessed life that I will always appreciate.I do however do my best to keep his memory and his music alive the best I can.I kept all my tapes,demos,photos and articles private for almost 25 years trying not to exploit mine or his life.It is sacred to me the times we spent together on the road as friends and band mates..He treated me as a brother and was always there if I needed him,I couldnt ask for more from anyone.He truly was an amazing person and his voice and emotion has yet to be topped.So I began to share my world and memories with others that cherished him also as with my tribute cds and DVDs..So excuse me if youre angry,jealous or just a plain asshole..I have my own life and can do my own thing without relying on Keith.But a huge part of my life is gone and all I have is memories and they make me smile and cry sometimes..Im sorry you cant say the same..So stick your assumptions and theorys and judgments up your ass..
