Ive spent a great deal of time in Germany (Bavaria/Munich area). And made some very good friends there. One thing i learned when comparing ALL the taxes we pay here in the US, with what my peer in Germany paid, was this: We PAY ABOUT THE SAME. Yet he and his daughters got a quality higher education, and single payer not for profit health care. The life expectancy there is higher as well... And the median income... the level of poverty and unemployment is much lower. We are being screwed, and LIED TO, big time.
