I’ll have to be quick, as I’m still downtown, but I have some interesting things to report about today’s Israeli rally. In short, the Israelis were very antagonistic and in that they were attempting to provoke the Palestinians into taking physical action. Also, on Saturday I mentioned a person who I suspect was a undercover that was taking photos of journalists photographing the Palestinian march. I feel that I was right about this, especially after what happened to me today. I arrived at the Thomson Center about 30 min prior to the official start to the protest. Within one minute of my arriving, the Illinois State Police came up to me and asked for my ID. I asked several of the other journalist if they had been asked to show ID, and they reported in the negative. A short while later I was told to leave the area because they had received reports that I was saying inflammatory things about Israel. I was not allowed on the sidewalk, I was not allowed to be across the street unless I kept moving. I was threatened with arrest and called a jackass by the Chicago Police. Ill have more later, but in conclusion... I cant support the Jews in any way. They were so arrogant and antagonizing, I wanted to slap them. WGN, nor any other news outlet will tell you this. They are most concerned about making profits, not reporting what actually happens.
