I’m Lynn Woolley with your Logic Minute for 10/3/13 Let me see if I’ve got this straight. The government shutdown has barricaded the World War Two Memorial? Message to the crybabies in Washington: it costs more to set up barricades than to just let people walk through it. There is no reason to keep people out of an open-air monument because the political parties are fighting. There is no cost associated with leaving the monument open. But nevertheless, World War Two veterans were forced to move the blockade to gain access. These are the same veterans that we’re losing to the sands of time – every single day. They want to remember and pay their respects to those who died in the Great War. The idea of spending money to block them is beyond despicable. If we have to close our national parks or shut down IRS audits – do it. But the government should not mess with the men and women who scarified life and limb to keep us free.
