I’m sure there are many FB friends, who know that feeling, of losing your entire database and folders, from your computer ? Yesterday, when I logged into our “bulk Email database” program, where we just renewed our yearly company lease from an “outside vendor”, I discovered, that my 3 years, into building my personalized program, was totally gone. I can’t even explain the depth of this work, other than, it’s been said by my staff, that I have the most extensive set of information ! This program, pre-schedules bulk emails to go out to select folks, from BD announcements to, your 2013 cruises is not yet booked, etc. (the purpose of the program is because “regular internet providers” will NOT send out bulk). All my 150 lists and 100 emails were gone. Immediately I jumped on the phone to my staff yesterday morning. With no word by 5pm, ultimately, it’s either truly gone or that vendor has yet to be able to retrieve the info. Kept self busy yesterday, to NOT think about it; and must do the same till Monday. Things happen for a REASON; this must truly be a good one !
