JACK UPDATE: You all may remember the little kitten Jack that was found in poor shape, walking on three legs in Madison before Christmas? Well, he went to stay with sweet Shala Dvorak and a pair of pretty awesome pups. Hes been having blast! Shes been doing amazing by him and running him back and forth to the vet, giving him meds, etc. Hes got one bum leg but he has not been letting that slow him down. Hes running and climbing and wrestling. The Mister and I went over to meet him last week and oh my word, talk about ah-dorable! When we got there, Shala had him set up, playing video games on her tablet on the sofa. He looked just like a fuzzy, tiny teenager, all zoned out and pawing at the fish on the screen. Then he climbed my back and I felt like Id had a brush with celebrity:) His eye gunk is finally clearing up well and hes put on a little weight. He went for a checkup yesterday and they believe that he does have some feeling in his leg. He was getting a raw spot from dragging it so they put him in a splint cast for two weeks to see if it will heal. Then the doctor will decide if he needs an amputation. He looks pretty pitiful in this photo BUT dont let this fool you. She sent me video today and he was running and tumbling and wrestling with the pups and having one amazing time! :) Little Jack isnt letting anything get him down! Im also pretty sure that he thinks that Shala is his mama, crying after her when she leaves the room and following her like a puppy. :) Here youll see him in one of his more restful moments.
