JAN THOT (THINK HARD ON THIS): After the last few days of endorsements, I feel led to simply share an excerpt from an earlier post that I made. Its even more relevant TODAY: It amazes me now that as we prepare to elect the Mayor for the City of Jackson, we are relaxing the requirements. Integrity...not necessary! Experience...everybody has to learn! We are making far too many exceptions because those running are our friends. There is only one candidate who has actually served in the position of Mayor, with a proven track record, yet he is maligned on a daily basis, simply because he has always upheld the integrity of the office and he doesnt allow certain factions to control him. THAT IS WHY THERE ARE THOSE WHO DONT WANT HIM BACK IN OFFICE! More than anything, I simply ask that you visit his Facebook page at Harvey Johnson for MAYOR and see his accomplishments for yourself. Stop saying that he hasnt done anything. Many of you have been on your jobs for years, yet say that his 12 years as Mayor was enough, in spite of the fact that because of his leadership, much has been accomplished. Watch the money flow. Youll see whos controlling whom. All that I can do is try to inform you. I hope that in the end, you will actually take a REAL look and get off of the ANYBODY BUT HARVEY campaign marathon! Some of the main ones leading it are those who didnt get a certain position that they expected so theyve been on the warpath since then. You would have a fit if they just put anybody over you as your boss and you knew they were not qualified. Why then, is it so acceptable now? Why doesnt experience matter now? Why are we so willing to look past the obvious flaws of candidates now? Why now? # # # # # # # SIGNS DONT VOTE...ENDORSEMENTS DONT VOTE...ONLY YOUR VOTE IS WHAT COUNTS AT THE VOTING BOOTH! LOL!! I guess Harvey should have bought an ad in the Advocate. Maybe he would have got a placement on the front page with the other TOP candidates! LAWD HELP!! ITS OUR TIME! ITS OUR CITY! THIS TIME, EXPERIENCE REALLY DOES MATTER. ITS OUR TIME TO SHOW THAT OUR ONE VOTE WILL COUNT. THE SALE IS OFF! WE CANNOT BE BOUGHT! WE ARE NOT FOR SELL!!
