JESUS WILL SET YOU FREE My precious friends in Christ, in the past you would have made certain mistakes and messed up your life, but Jesus will set you free. John 10:10 says ‘the thief does not come except to steal and to kill and to destroy. I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly.’ Jesus hates sin, but He loves sinners that is why He came to earth, took all our sins, weakness, sickness, bondages and curses, shed His own blood, died for us and rose from the dead. When His resurrection power enters our lives we are victorious. 1 John 3:8 ‘Son of God was manifested that He might destroy the works of the devil.’ So do not live in condemnation and say I am a sinner, will Jesus forgive my sins. The Lord Jesus certainly will forgive all your sins. Matthew 18:11 says ‘for the Son of Man has come to save that which was lost. Luke 9:56 and John 3:17 declares the same. As you read this message the Lord Jesus will set you free from your past failures and bless you, also He will give you His power to stand against evil powers, worldly temptations and use you to touch the lives of those who are bounded by evil forces. Malachi 4:2,3 says ‘But to you who fear My name the Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings. And you shall go out and grow fat like stall fed calves. You shall trample the wicked for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet.’ My precious friends, follow the following principles for your daily lives – 1) Fear His name – reverence His presence and devote yourself to Him. Why should we reverence Him? Because for the immeasurable love and faithfulness. Psalm 103:2-4- When you read these scriptures, remember that in Christ Jesus, God has made a way for you with complete forgiveness (1 John 1:7 says ‘the blood of Jesus Christ, His Son cleanses us from all sin’), Healing and restoration of life (1 Peter 2:24 ‘by Jesus’ stripes you were healed), and given us His tender mercy and loving kindness (Ephesians 2:4 ‘But God who is rich in mercy because of His great love with which He loved us’). Yes my precious friends in Christ, the benefits of the Cross of Calvary are available for you, so invite Him into your lives, and reverence Him for His great supreme sacrifice which He did for you. 2) Give yourself as a living sacrifice to the Lord (Romans 12:2) – Do not live according to the worldly pattern. 1 John 2:17 says ‘and the world is passing away, and the lust of it, but he who does the will of God abides forever.’ Doing the will of God means, meditate upon the word of God, ponder and act what the Word of God says. James 1:22 says ‘But be doers of the word and not hearers only deceiving yourselves.’ When you act on the Word and continue in it Malachi 4:2 says the Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings. Just as the sun rises and spreads its rays (wings) in every direction bringing light and warmth, likewise when Jesus enters into your heart He brings light and warmth and there is total healing to your life (2 Corinthians 4:6). John 8:12 says ‘Jesus is the light.’ When He shines in your inner man all the hurts, depression and sorrows will flee. 2 Corinthians 3:17 says ‘Now the Lord is the Spirit and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.’ When you give freedom to the Holy Spirit in your lives, the Holy Spirit will transform you from glory to glory and He will change you into His image (2 Corinthians 3:18). You will be a new creation and your entire life style will change and you will be drawn closer to Him. Your inner man will be strengthened by the power of the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 3:16). You will be spiritually blessed (Malachi 4:2 latter part says ‘and grow fat like stall fed calves). You will be a conqueror. In Luke 10:19 Jesus said ‘I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy. Nothing will harm you’. No evil power, temptation can touch you. Malachi 4:3 ‘For they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet.’ So surrender your life to Jesus today, give more room for the Holy Spirit (His presence) and you will be a victorious child of God. Cheer up my friend as Isaiah 61:7 says ‘instead of your shame you shall have double honour.’ God bless you. (Sis. Gladys Lancelot Daniels)
