JJB has sentenced the accused in 16 December rape with maximum 3 years imprisonment subjected to review and appeal. I have not studied law but all my life, I have been seeing judgments of various cases in which are most of the time victim has to prove that something wrong has been committed on her even if event happened in day light with thousand around. Laws are very old most of them of colonial era. Many laws or most of them to my opinion were made to protect the British ruling class, than for giving justice to common citizen. Laws were made such if someone accused the ruling class victim has to provide the proof and if proven guilty punishments were very mild. We borrowed everything of British colonial past without looking at our existence of thousands of years. Our so called ruling class kept on doing the same things which Britishers were doing only change was colour of skin "Indian". Now a cold blooded murderer is being let off because he is a juvenile. Come on he is a rapist he had all knowledge. Juvenile Laws must be applicable for crimes under stress, killing when threatened or mistake which can be corrected not for cold blooded murderers, rapist or repeated offender. This type off sentence provides wrong message which boost the morale of criminals and depresses the common man. Indian system is committing crime by letting of the accused as they themselves will not able to provide security to the accused outside the prison and public will themselves hang the rapist some day after 27 month from now.
