JK ruled by forces, not by ‘so-called’ democratic govt: Freedom Party Srinagar, July 20:Expressing it strong grief and anguish over the killing and injuring of those protesting against desecration of Holy Qur’an by BSF personnel in Gool Ramban, the Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) made it clear that if democracy wouldhave been prevailing here, the use of brute force against protesting people would not have taken place. “It is so heartening to see that insteadof bringing to book the personnel involved in Gool incident, the people from Pir Panchal, Chenab Valley, Ladakh division and Kashmir Valley who demand strict action against culprits of Ramban incident are killed and arrested,” a spokesperson of the party said in a statement. “The so-called democratic nation, instead of nabbing the force personnel involved in incident are showering bullets on those protestingagainst inhuman killings,” he said. “It is extreme that pro-freedom leaders Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Shabir Ahmad Shah, Muhammad Yasin Malik, MirwaizUmar Farooq and other pro-freedom leaders are either kept behind bars or put under house arrest.” The spokesperson claimed that it is forces that rule the state not the ‘so-called democratic rulers who are only nominal and puppets in the hands of New Delhi.’ “The fact is that the so-called democratic government is helpless and dependent before forces,” he claimed. The Freedom Party reiterated its stand that unless there would be complete demilitarization from Kashmir the honor, dignity, lives and property of Kashmiris cannot be secured. “Ex-gratia is not an alternative to any innocent life,” he said.
