Specific responsibilities include: Align marketing strategy with Sales, Business Development and Product to ensure revenue generation. Proven leadership and experience to Plan, Monitor and Measure marketing team to build integrated marketing campaigns for key offerings, to include activities such as awareness, thought leadership, online and interactive marketing, search engine optimization (SEO), event marketing, public relations, event marketing, search marketing, social media marketing, advertising and branding. Create marketing plans, budgets, and determine marketing team structure and make personnel decisions for marketing employees and contractors. Oversee quality and control of corporate website branding and content. Build demographic and behavioral lead-scoring; create nurture and drip marketing tracks. Manage the company’s customer relationship management (CRM) processes and data quality, ensuring marketing team establishes goals and metrics by monitoring campaigns via both “Lead” measures (tactical) such as email click rates, campaign response rate, # of meetings at an event etc., as well as “Lag” measures (strategic) such as # of MQLs, # of SQLs, # of meetings generated, $ value of pipeline created, etc. Institute processes to increase adoption of marketing automation tools to automate marketing tasks (list management, campaign creation, campaign measurement, social media, etc.). Develop and maintain strong relationships with strategic partners to maximize joint marketing and PR opportunities. Represent the company at various tradeshows and business functions to promote the company. Desired Skills & Experience Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field required; MBA a plus. 15+ years’ total experience, with at least 8 years’ experience in technology or professional services, SaaS, or other IT related industry marketing at the Director/VP level. Proven success developing and executing integrated business-to-business marketing campaigns, including goal setting, budget management and results measurement. Proven ability to understand business issues of multiple industries. Strong relationship acumen: ability to build strong relationships at all levels in the organization. Excellent communicator – well-spoken with excellent writing skills. Extensive experience with Marketing Automation tools (Marketo, ExactTarget) and CRM tools (SalesForce or similar) required. Must be an independent self-starter with a sense of urgency and a strong desire to build something new and dramatically grow a company. Requires strong multiple project management skills with an affinity for consistently producing high-quality work and yield with a customer experience focus. Strong organizational skills. Positive attitude, leadership qualities, and flexible team-oriented approach to working with others.
