Mechanical Engineer ( 2 positions) Location: Nairobi Industry: Service Our client, a leading supplier of a wide range of construction equipment, quality industrial and agricultural machinery in East Africa seeks to recruit a Mechanical Engineer. The ideal candidate will install and service diesel generators, water pumps, electric motors, construction equipment and other industrial machineries. Duties and Responsibilities Repairing and servicing all the agricultural machinery and industrial equipment Installation and serving of diesel generators, electric motors and water pumps (submersible borehole & surface pumps) Making detailed reports on all the work that is done on each machine Ensuring that all parts that need replacing are available in stock and make orders in advance so as not to slow the company’s operations Working towards improving the performance of the machine by identifying faulty parts and repairing them before major problems arise in future Keeping an inventory of equipment required for repairing Researching on all the latest machinery that is available in the market Inspecting all the machines and making reports for the management Qualification and Experience At least a Diploma or a Degree in Mechanical Engineering or any other related field Be well versed with user manuals for all machines Should have an idea of all latest repair equipments Should have a minimum of 1 year of similar experience.
