JRAT Daily News Alert! The Cyclist Tribunal Council of Seattle (CTCS) will be conducting public court hearings at Greenlake park this coming weekend. Those on trial have been summonsed from across the metropolitan area, cyclists who display poor judgment on the road, including infractions such as: riding while under the influence, illegal passing on the right, failure to stop for stop sign at completely vacant intersections at 9 in the morning, posing a danger to society at large, generally being ill fit for the responsibility of city cycling, and finally, just plain being an obnoxious addition to the roadway. CTCS is comprised of 8 elite members of the Seattle cycling community. Their authority is self imposed, and thus some believe, it is unwarrented. Sources say that punishmnets for biking infractions can include things as humiliating as wearing extra protective gear (such as elbow pads), cycling priviledges have been stripped and replaced with razor scooters for commuting, and the list goes on. Counter gruop has formed to put the CTCS in its place. Cyclists Against Excessively Fashionable and Overly Prepared Cyclists (CAEFOPEC) plans to put on trial the members of the CTCS for crimes such as spandex abuse, and whatever other crime you can peg on a person for wearing shorts too tight and too short. The tribe has spoken.
