JT Passes on "The Playbook" FOX Sports Radio syndicated host JT the Brick (John Tournour) has released a new book, The Handoff: A Powerful Memoir of Two Guys, Sports and Friendship. Inspired by the veteran Sports/Talker’s mentor, best friend and one-time FOX Sports Radio VP, Andrew Ashwood, The Handoff is about the special friendship the two forged through their mutual love of sports, cemented through sharing a ringside seat during the realities of the late Ashwood’s cancer treatment. JT’s book relays Ashwood’s legacy of friendship, commitment and purpose — culminating in a vow to continue passing on the playbook. “As I look back, I realize that while Andrew truly felt that he would win, that he would survive, he also felt a sense of urgency,” writes JT. “As I look back at those thirteen months, what I feel now is a kind of frenzy. Everything felt contracted, moving at a much faster pace. And every moment seemed critical.” A portion of sales from The Handoff will benefit City of Hope, a leading cancer center where Ashwood received treatment.
