JUDAS ISCARIOT SYNDROME! PART 2 HOLDING ON TO GOSPEL TRUTHS WHILST RUBBING SHOULDERS WITH THE ENEMIES OF CHRIST AND ROBBING THE WORLD OF THE SALVATION THEY NEED! Joel 1:4 That which the palmerworm hath left hath the locust eaten; and that which the locust hath left hath the canker worm eaten; and that which the canker worm hath left hath the caterpillar eaten. Mark 14:10 And Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went unto the chief priests, to betray him unto them. Brother and Sisters, beware that the Judas Iscariot Syndrome is not just about money but the kind of life we chose as ministers and members of the body of Christ! Look at Judas and see the things that are highlighted in his life: ….one of the twelve; holding on to gospel truths! …. went unto the chief priests; rubbing shoulders with the enemies of Christ! ….to betray him unto them; robbing the world of the salvation they need! WHY JUDAS MAINTAINED THE IDENTITY OF BEING ONE OF THE TWELVE: Mark 14:10 And Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went unto the chief priests, to betray him unto them. John 12:5-7 Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor? 6 This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein. 7 Then said Jesus, Let her alone: against the day of my burying hath she kept this. This is the biggest problem the church of our time is facing where people know fully well that they are not living right and yet will not keep away from the things of God. They still want people to associate them with spiritual things even when they know that they have Satan in the heart. This is exactly what King Saul did: 1 Samuel 15:30-31 30 Then he said, I have sinned: yet honour me now, I pray thee, before the elders of my people, and before Israel, and turn again with me, that I may worship the LORD thy God. 31 So Samuel turned again after Saul; and Saul worshipped the LORD. Can you imagine someone who has sinned wanting to be honoured because of the elders around? This canker worm is killing the church. My pastor friend- once you discover sin in your life, sit down and worry not about what people will say. Why do you want to go to hell because of people? Those of you reading this message, you are the best judge of your lives. Are you sure that if you die today you can make it to heaven? Do not deceive yourself. Position will not help! Many people because of status want to be called men and women of God whilst they know that they are men and women of Satan. May the Lord help His church to overcome this canker worm in Jesus Name. They called Judas one of the twelve whilst he was actually among those that hated Christ! His life is really a controversial one and its my prayer that none of us will have this kind of life in Jesus Name. This is what I call serving in the church with the love of hell! Do you really belong to Christ? Hear the words of Christ; Matthew 7:22-24 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. 24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: Meditate on the words of this song and pray for yourself: I am also praying for myself: 1 Someone will knock at the saints’ bright home, And hear the Lord saying, “You cannot come;” With sadness he’ll mourn o’er his sorrowful state, Turned away from the beautiful gate.
