JUNE 2013 NEWSLETTER SUMMER REMINDERS Yard and Patio Cleanup: We - TopicsExpress

JUNE 2013 NEWSLETTER SUMMER REMINDERS Yard and Patio Cleanup: We want to remind members to make sure their patio areas are in neat and orderly condition. Make sure furniture on the patio is specifically made for outdoor use. Also, be sure any personal gardens are free of weeds, plants are under 5ft and that garden and patio areas remain within the guidelines. We will be writing up exterior violations as needed. Prairie Glen Curfew: Prairie Glen curfew is 10:00pm. All members are expected to be quite and respectful of their neighbors, especially after hours. Please be sure there is no loitering, music, loud talking, etc in the common areas after curfew. Thermostats & A/C’s: Make sure your thermostat is set at a reasonable temperature. In the hottest weather most households will generally not cool any more than 20 degrees cooler than the outside temperature. A/C’s that run constantly are more likely to burn out, so adjust your temperatures accordingly. Trash & Recycling Please remember all trash and unwanted items are to be placed inside trash dumpsters. If you wish to donate your goods please take them to a donation center or thrift store here in town that accepts these items. Do not leave them on the curb or next to the dumpsters. Leaving unwanted items on or around the bins is unacceptable and detracts from the curb appeal of Prairie Glen. Also, the clean up time takes away unnecessary time from maintenance staff to do their regular work duties. Additionally please note the BLUE bins are recycle bins. No trash, yard waste, pet waste or food waste should be put into the recycle bin under any circumstances. Anyone caught littering, placing trash around the trash bins, or putting unacceptable items into the recycling bin will automatically be fined the $25 trash cleanup fine and sent a notice of violation. There are no warnings issued for having to clean up trash that was not disposed of properly. If you have any questions about disposing of large items that won’t fit in the bins or any questions about the recycling program please contact the office before disposing of your items. As always, make sure your trash is in plastic bags and please be considerate of your neighbor’s cars when disposing of trash. No one likes their vehicles smelling like trash, covered in soda, grease & other unidentifiable substances.
