JUST A THOUGHT Genesis 12:1-2 (NIV) The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you. Recently as we studied LechLecha we were reminded that sometimes we are asked to leave behind things we esteem for a treasure much more valuable. A number of years ago my family was very close friends with two other families. We studied together, we grieved losses together, we ministered together, we grew together, we had fun together and together we were directing others to the throne of the Most High. As the group began to discover and explore our Hebrew Roots one of the individuals fell into deception and began saying and doing things that divided the group. Comments that were made were so very outrageous that we no longer spent time alone with that particular couple. They had begun to focus on short-comings and magnify things they disapprove of about the couple that was absent and we were extremely uneasy. We just couldnt stand in agreement with things being said so our fellowship with them became less often and eventually a total separation. We watched as YHWH attempted to correct the couple, they resisted and found it necessary to move away after loosing much. The damage had been done to the relationships and weve all gone separate directions. Though we sincerely grieve the absence of our friends, we honestly believed that the separation was a ploy of HaSatan to prevent us all from sharing the Truth in Torah together. As only YHWH can do, He recently let us see that our dearest friends have in fact sought Torah and are doing fine on their journey. We have no idea how the couple that moved are doing but we continue to pray for them. For those of you that are on the adventure of discovering Torah and have been separated from people you love, it is very difficult. Stay faithful to Torah, Keep praying, Be encouraged, YHWH is calling your loved ones and if they are sincerely seeking Him it is likely they will discover the treasure of Torah and eventually you will find one another on the path. Shalom
