JUST THE WORD....BE NOT AFRAID... Today my heart turns to my brothers and sisters in Sierra Leone, Liberia and other countries where the deadly Ebola has taken hold and is wreaking havoc among communities. I am saddened by those Christians who say this is a punishment from God forgetting that we have all sinned and fallen short of his glory, none of us are righteous except by His blood. None of us are more worthy...sickness and death are the trademark of the enemy, the result of sins invasion of the world God created... I know we serve a faithful and loving God and I know that all things are possible in His name and so in faith today and with my heart and hands lifted to Him, I proclaim (and ask that you join me too as you read in proclaiming these words over all those believers who are currently at risk from this disease).... Psalm 91 Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.[a] 2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” 3 Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence. 4 He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. 5 You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, 6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. 7 A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. 8 You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked. 9 If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,” and you make the Most High your dwelling, 10 no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent. 11 For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; 12 they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. 13 You will tread on the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent. 14 “Because he[b] loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. 15 He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. 16 With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.” Be not afraid dear brothers and sisters, but hold onto your faith and know that even death has been conquered by He who loves you. In Psalm 23 the Psalmist says: Even though I walk through the shadow of the valley of death I will not be afraid...your rod and your staff they comfort me... Be blessed today and all days, hold on to His word and promises as His rod and staff. I pray God will protect you from all harm, that the healing blood of the lamb will anoint you and your household and that as in the passover the angel of death will pass you and yours over. Stand firm in your faith, pray without ceasing and whatever happens trust in Him who keeps not just your body but also your soul in the palm of His loving hands Amen. Please like, comment, share but mostly pray for the Body of Christ in all the affected areas that there will be an outpouring of His healing power over all and that those in mourning will be comforted by His grace and mercy. Amen.
