The Spartan way of life was very #bureaucratic, #oligarchic and #hegemonic. They were a major influence for #Plato and his #Philosopher Ruler concept for the ideal state. Their main objectives were to impliment certainties that can only be communicable via a way of life, to make a minimum amount of changes to a state, or individual with maximum static perfection. I wrap up in this video with an example of how they would do this with the serf (slave) population in the #Spartan region after a war where the Spartans recruited the #serfs to battle with them. Once the war was over, they called for the strongest to come to be rewarded and when the serfs came for thier reqard of freedom, they slayed all of them in order to prevent the serfs from rebelling. We can see this structure in todays society, it is a habit we have that can be labelled as a tall poppy syndrome mentality, that prevents revolution and a particular class from becoming powerful. Sparta was also a huge influence on #Roman culture too, the Roman household was structured in such a way to prevent anyone from becoming too powerful and rich. https://youtube/watch?v=exEe6NgeS4g
