Jack Ryan - Shadow Recruit Plot/Storyline - C its your typical spy flick.. in russia trying to save America and the rest of the world from terrorist and economic plot.. Of course the Villain is a misguided former FSB (i guess KGB is old hat now) whos family got killed and he wants revenge.. I mean why do they keep regurgitating this same crap.. writers in hollywood have ZERO originality these days.. Acting - B The New Jack Ryan was ok.. certainly better than Ben Affleck but not half as good as Harrison Ford.. They made Jack Ryan more of a tough guy in this which was ok.. Bringing in Kevin Costner was a good move and he did really well as his mentor.. Keira knightly was awful and quirky but I have always had a personal distaste for her.. The Villian Keneth Branaugh did a great job.. he pulled off being a Russian perfectly even the accent and you could really see the vengeance in his eyes.. Action/Special effects - B+ The fight scenes were really good as well as the shootouts and amazing car chases.. Overall - B Its worth seeing at the theater for the action but not necessary.. If your into spy films then its worth it..
