Jacobson Family Update: Just over a week ago we announced to everyone that we were expecting baby #2. Since that time we experienced a miscarriage and baby Jacobson is now with Jesus. Since we do not view babies in the womb as merely strands of DNA and tissue but as a real human person, this loss was extremely hard to go through. But this has caused us to cling to Jesus Christ that much more closely knowing that even if we lose everything and still have Him, we are rich beyond our wildest imagination, because He is more than enough. We have also drawn much comfort through knowing that Jesus hates the brokenness and suffering in this world more than we do and He came to this earth experienced it and took it upon Himself at the cross. So He is not indifferent to our suffering but a source of strength and compassion in suffering, like the loss of a child. We have also drawn much hope from His promise that because of His death and resurrection He will one day rid the world of every from of suffering and remove every tear from our eyes. We want to say thank you to those of you who have expressed your sympathies to us and have offered prayers on our behalf. Words cannot express how grateful to God we are for our family and friends.
