James 1:12 (AMP) 12 Blessed (happy, [a]to be envied) is the man who is patient under trial and stands up under temptation, for when he has stood the test and been approved, he will receive [the victor’s] crown of life which God has promised to those who love Him. When we are tempted it does not mean we are a sinner, but a human being. We are not super beings. We will be tempted and fall into temptation. When we are willing to endure certain things to make the right decisions and be with people who will not tempt us God will give us favor, or a crown of life. We may have times of loneliness when making good decisions but the reward will be great. Temptation comes during times of trial and difficulty. When someone hurts us we are tempted to speak unkindly and sometimes mistreat them the way they have mistreated us. We can endure the times of temptation. To endure means we are outlasting the trial and the temptation the devil is putting in front of us. Our weaknesses show during our times of trail and temptation. Through our trials and temptations we learn to strengthen our Christian character. 1 Corinthians 10:13 (AMP) 13 For no temptation (no trial regarded as enticing to sin), [no matter how it comes or where it leads] has overtaken you and laid hold on you that is not common to man [that is, no temptation or trial has come to you that is beyond human resistance and that is not [a]adjusted and [b]adapted and belonging to human experience, and such as man can bear]. But God is faithful [to His Word and to His compassionate nature], and He [can be trusted] not to let you be tempted and tried and assayed beyond your ability and strength of resistance and power to endure, but with the temptation He will [always] also provide the way out (the means of escape to [c]a landing place), that you may be capable and strong and powerful to bear up under it patiently. There is not one of us who is going through something that someone else has not gone through. God is there to help us get through the things that come against us.
