Jamie, wanted to get your thoughts and the thoughts of your FB friends about a family discussion we had this weekend. We, speaking of Rick, Lisa and me, were raised to respect the office of the President of the U.S. Now, I am not talking about any individual president, but the office as a whole. Mom and Dad taught us, you may not like who is holding the office, but you should respect it as the office that leads our nation. Now, there have been many presidents that I have not cared for, both Republican and Democrat, but I still respect the position the man holds. It disturbs me when I see pictures on FB showing blatant disrespect to the President, whether ir be Obama, Bush, Clinton, Nixon or who ever. We are fortunate that we are able to choose the leader our country and we dont have someone like the guy in North Korea. If you dont like someone in office, vote them out, work to get someone else elected, but dont belittle what our country is by showing a picture of someone urinating on a picture of the President. This is just my opinion and not shared by everyone, not even by some of my closest friends and family members, but it is still how I was brought up. What are some other view points on this subject?
