Jammu: A moderate intensity earthquake rocked the Jammu region on Friday morning, triggering panic among the people. According to initial reports, the epicentre of the earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale was 13 km south east of Kishtwar. The tremors of the earthquake, which jolted the Jammu region around 8.02 am, were felt in Himachal Pradesh and Punjab. There was no immediate report of any casualty or injury from anywhere. However, most of the people rushed out of their houses due to fear. A moderate intensity tremor recently shook Bhaderwah valley and adjoining areas in Doda-Kishtwar belt of Jammu and Kashmir.
