Jan. 26, 2015 - The reported investigation on the massacre of 40+ - TopicsExpress

Jan. 26, 2015 - The reported investigation on the massacre of 40+ PNP-SAF troopers in Maguindanao, Mindanao seems tailor-made for cover-up or whitewash. After all, everyone knows the Bangsamoro Peace Initiative (which started a few years ago) and long negotiations (which are already supposed to be completed), as well as the now formulating proposed Bangsamoro Basic Law (in the Philippine Senate and the House of Representatives) are/were all proposed and implemented by, PNoy. Who therefore is the brave investigator who will now come up with investigative findings that would seem to run contrary to all the efforts already expended by our government to assuage the Bangsamoro/MILF et al? Who is the brave one who would say, in effect, that the massacre perpetrated shows how unstable the mentality and actions of the Bangsamoro parties can be? or that the peace process should be suspended or even terminated?? It would appear to many that the souls of those 40+ killed special policemen will be wiped out from current and future mention and memory; and that just because they are part of the small people - nameless and faceless to most government officials and their high-sounding motives, good intentions and proper advocacies - their deaths will be considered as part of collateral damage only... Tsk tsk tsk......Didnt Pope Francis talk just a few short weeks ago about the high value of human life???
