Japan launches conflict prevention program *Timor-Post July 8, 2013 language source: Tetun To prevent conflict which happens within the community, especially in Comoro village, the Japanese Government through its embassy in Timor-Leste has launched conflict prevention program and established community radio in Comoro Village. Japanese Ambassador to Timor-Leste Yoshitaka Hanada said Okinawa and Timor-Leste had cultural relations through type of “tais” that Timor-Leste had. ”Okinawa also as a tais, tais as an original identity of Timorese people therefore we should promote it to be an industry in the country and to attract tourist for generating incomes for the country,” Hanada said. Hanada said the new program that would be implemented in Comoro Village was conflict prevention project and would establish new community radio to better facilitate the people to share their opinions on conflicts.
