Jazz fans - I want to hear your feedback. To all the Hayward haters... First – if you believe that the Jazz should not match any offer sheet he signs, you are a Hayward hater. Second – His best basketball is ahead of him. He was 16+ points, 5+ ast, 5+ reb, 1+ stl, .5 blk. Those are crazy good numbers. He is going to get better. He is going to shoot better. Let’s say he raises his percentages slightly next year. He could easily average 19-5-5-1-.75. Those numbers might be worth a max. Third – If we let him go, even if it is a sign and trade, and he reaches a potential even greater than the numbers I just mentioned YOU will regret it. And we will have wasted 4+ years of developing our touted face of this franchise. Fourth – Coach Q! That’s it. Everything else aside, this should be the only reason you need to be convinced that Hayward will be much better than he was last year. That’s it. Like it or not, G-baby is the type of player and person the owners of this team want. We will not replace his talent with any free agent in this year’s class. Match him. Sign him. Whatever it takes. See you next year Gordon. You will have my support. Hopefully the haters will support you too.
