Jefferson Parish (Louisiana) East Bank Shelter Kennel # E0-07-12-22 "Junior" was surrendered to the East Bank Shelter, by family members that explained a relative had passed away so Junior no longer had a home. This handsome boy is 9 years young, and does not understand why he has been abandoned after living a great life with his Best Friend. He lays in his kennel unaffected by the noise of shelter life and appears depressed until you go over to his kennel and he almost smiles with hope that you will touch him. He has lost weight since he has been at the shelter, due to depression, but he is slowly starting to eat again. He loves to be outdoors in the sunshine and prefers to walk right by your side. Junior is great with other dogs, children and so very eager to rest his head once again on the lap of someone he can call his own. The shelter is open this evening until 7:30, closed Friday for Evacuation Training, but opens again on Saturday morning at 10 a.m.
