Jeffrey Holliman who is a suspect in several ongoing burglary and theft investigations in the Melrose and Woden area was taken into custody last night around 11:00 pm. The precinct four constable office received information from a citizen that lives near Cr. 411 of suspicious activity. The constable office immediately followed up on those tips which lead to Holliman arrest. The sheriff office and precinct Four Constable Office is very grateful for the information from our citizens that helped lead to the suspect’s apprehension. The interagency cooperation with the Sheriff Office and Precinct 4 Constable office, was a valuable asset in identifying the suspect and his apprehension. The Sheriff Office and Precinct 4 Constable office combined, has over 30 burglary and theft investigations that we believe are linked to Jeffrey Holliman. The Sheriff Office is currently processing several items of stolen property that has been recovered from two different locations. We are asking that if you a victim of one of these crimes, to be please be patient with investigators as they go through all the evidence that has been recovered. Investigators will be contacting victims later next week. If you have not heard from them by next Friday you are encouraged to call the Sheriff Office. Holliman is currently in jail on a motion to revoke probation charge (no bond) and the sheriff office has filed one burglary of a habitation charge. More charges will follow as the evidence and investigation is fully completed.
