Jennifer Birtwistle from Objective Productions is coming to UWSAyr next week at 1 pm on weds 5th March in the TV Studio to speak to our students about a brand new magic show they making for BBC3. We are looking for students aged 18, or over to take part in the show, as spectators. We are not looking for professional actors, or anyone that has an agent or done paid extra work. Below is a bit more info about the show and I have attached the flyer for you to put on the social networking site/intranet for students. Objective Productions are currently in pre-production for our new show for BBC3: Killer Magic (working title). The show sees five magicians, armed with their best magic tricks, facing off against each other in front of members of the public. Think ‘Come Dine With Me’ meets ‘David Blaine’… At the moment we are looking for members of the public to take part in the recording by watching the magicians do their thing in locations based in and around Glasgow. The magicians are fantastic, all very well known on the magic circuit but new to TV, but one of the main features of any good magic show is the reaction of the audience. We do casting evenings once or twice a week, usually between 5-7pm and we would love you to come along with some friends. Ideally we are looking for small groups of people (between 2-5) who are comfortable in front of the camera, who will react in some way to the tricks and are available between 26th February and 25th April. This is a great project that is being filmed exclusively in and around Glasgow by the company who brought you Peep Show, The Cube and of course Derren Brown.
