Jeremiah 7:16-19. So do not pray for this people nor offer any plea or petition for them; do not plead with me, for I will not listen to you. Do you not see what they are doing in the towns of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem? The children gather wood, the fathers light the fire, and the women knead the dough and make cakes to offer the Queen of Heaven. They pour out drink offerings to other gods to arouse my anger. But am I the one they are provoking? declares the Lord. Are they not rather harming themselves, to their own shame? You know beloved its a sad and horrible situation when the Lord tells you to no longer intervene for your nation of people. Like he told Jeremiah here but Moses was in a similar predicament in Numbers 14:11-19. The difference was Moses was allowed to intervene Jeremiah was not. Just as we who are true to our calling are not. Our Father has shut his ears to our intercession for this corrupt land. Bad enough the people continue to sin but the priests have joined in and do worse than the people. They desire for me to honor my house when they are permitting all sorts of sins to take place under their roof. Im about to separate the sheep from the goats publicly declares the Lord. Those who are on my side will be elevated higher the evil ones will be brought low and kicked out. You man/woman of God operating in your own authority have brought a curse upon yourself. You tell my people to do one thing and you do contrary to what you speak. So its your actions that lead them astray. Is this what the Lord is to expect for our next generation? Absolutely not I pray! Dont just wait for the doors of the Church to open. Keep your home open daily for anyone under your roof to be taught the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Cleanse the embodiment of His temple so we can help others do likewise
