Jesse-ism: Our Sunday morning miracles: Jesses diagnosis is Deaf/blind with autism and developmental delay. He asked to look at pictures on my iPhone, and he correctly identified people and objects in the pictures in what really is a small format. His vision is assessed at 20/300 bilaterally , it has been tested and retested several times at UCB school of optometry. Jesses hearing aids do not give him spoken language through his ears, yet today, as on so many Sunday mornings, we see Jesse obviously enjoying the music and also able to see details that experts say he ought not be able to see.
