Jessica Mauboy goes backstage to meet her idol Mariah Carey! It was an opportunity most fans could only dream of. And Jessica Mauboy looked to be enjoying every second of her VIP meet and greet with Mariah Carey in Sydney on Monday night. The Pop A Bottle singer was in the audience of the divas last Australian show in Sydney, before being seen ushered backstage to meet her idol. The 25-year-old singer looked chic for her date, clad in an all black ensemble of leather jack, pants and peep-toe heels. Jessica has long named Mariah as one her singing idols, starting back during her days competing on Australian Idol when she sung Mariahs songs When You Believe and Butterfly on the show. Mondays nights catch-up wasnt the first time the Australian talent has come face to face with the superstar. Earlier this year she was a guest on American Idol, where Mariah is a judge on the show. Jessica recounted the experience of being in the same room as the iconic singer speaking to Nova FMs Smallzy in July. I was like, eyeballing her, she remembered. Mariah turned around, looked at me and gave me a beautiful wave, and I just melted! The next stop on the mother-of-twins tour will see her play New Zealands Vector Arena in Auckland. She then returns Down Under, where Mariah will wrap up The Elusive Chanteuse Show on November 16 at Sirromet Wines in Brisbane. Source: Mail Online
