Jesus said the Torah would prove He was the Messiah, and it did. For the first 15 years after His death and resurrection, Christianity was actually considered a sect of Judaism. It wasnt until more and more Gentiles became converted and thus the leadership of the faith became such that in the second and third centuries, a schism developed. A schism that arose because of a lack of teaching, and understanding, of the Torah that the original disciples taught. This led to one of the greatest sins against the Jewish people by the church, Replacement Theology. This theology was the WRONGLY held belief that the church was no longer a remnant of Israel that was grafted in, but a separate entity that replaced Israel in Gods heart.David David Blaski
