Via The Courier Mail: On Friday, 27 September, on the Gold Coast, starting at Broadbeach and then outside the police station, we saw the line in the sand. The gangs came out of the shadows and declared war on Queenslanders, our community and the stability and safety of our society. These criminal gangs are at the centre of a web of activity which impacts us all. But again today I stress that it is not just those gangs and that overt activity that people saw: There are also a variety of other criminal organisations which are impacting on us in the ways that I have described. This is a time for us to all work together - the Government, the courts, the police, the CMC and every member of the Queensland community - to say enough is enough.
